opole, poland — june 8th, 2020. the minos™ abdominal aortic stent-graft and delivery system (“minos™ stent graft system”), which is produced by shanghai microport endovascular medtech co., ltd. (“endovastec™”), was successfully implanted in three patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm (aaa) in poland. poland is the second overseas market of minos™ stent graft system after greece.
all three cases were completed by professor grzegorz oszkinis team from opole university hospital. professor grzegorz oszkinis chose minos™ stent graft system to treat an aaa patient with stenosis at bilateral access arteries. the preoperative ct examination showed that the lowest diameter of access artery was only 3.2mm. the outer sheath diameter of minos™ stent graft system is 14f (<5mm) which is one of the best solutions.
a main-body stent graft (cm30-100) and the limb stent grafts (cl13-120 and cl10-140) were selected during the procedure. the postoperative angiography showed that the aneurysm was effectively excluded without endoleak, the expanded stent graft was in good shape and smooth blood flow through limbs. the procedure turned out to be a success.
the second patient had narrow abdominal aortic bifurcation (minimum diameter 17.2mm) and left accessory renal artery. a main-body stent graft (cm28-100) and the limb stent grafts (cl18-100 and cl20-120) were selected by professor robert zurawel. the low profile design of minos™ stent graft system has a significant advantage for lesions with narrow abdominal aortic bifurcation.
the third patient had tortuosities at bilateral iliac arteries. the length from the abdominal aortic bifurcation to the external iliac arteries are 95mm (left) and 86mm (right). a main-body stent graft (cm28-100) and the limb stent grafts (cl20-140 and cl18-140) were selected. professor jacek hobot used crossing-leg technology to ensure that the stent graft firmly fixed and the aneurysm was effectively excluded.
the material and structure of the delivery system outer sheath of minos™ stent graft system can naturally conform to the tortuosity of access arteries.
endovastec™ granted professor grzegorz oszkinis team the certificate of the first implantation of minos™ stent graft system in poland after the operation. professor grzegorz oszkinis expressed his affirmation of minos™ stent graft system in product design, implementation of low profile and convenience of deployment, and expressed confidence in using minos™ stent graft system to try more complicated cases.
endovastec™ granted professor grzegorz oszkinis team the certificate of the first implantation of minos™ stent graft system in poland
the completion of the first implantation of minos™ stent graft system in poland means that endovastec™ has once again broadened its layout in overseas markets. endovastec™ will continue to uphold its original intention and strive to bring more high-quality and innovative high-end medical devices to overseas markets to benefit more patients with aortic and peripheral vascular diseases.
